Hover over “Save Game” and click that box - your progress will save right then and there. However, to manually save your game in Far Cry 5, open the options menu and look for “Save Game,” which you can find just above “Quit” near the end of the list on the left-hand side of the screen. When engaged in conversation, press any button on your controller and you should see a prompt in the bottom right corner of the screen, letting you know that you can skip the cutscene. On the other hand, most in-game cutscenes and conversations with NPCs in Far Cry 5 can indeed be skipped. You can’t really skip it, but if you put it on borderless in the video option you can do something else while it plays it through and once you get back it will be done.
You will have to suffer through them unfortunately. Unless Ubisoft implements it, there is no way to skip the cutscenes in Far Cry 3.
